Naomi Osaka says she trusts Patrick Mouratoglou and credit his mid-match recommendation for a win that sealed her first WTA quarterfinal ticket since June.

Now that she is thru to the Auckland quarterfinal, she is three wins away from gathering her first title because the 2021 Australian Open. 

On Friday, the previous world No. 1 could have one other favorable matchup in Auckland since she performs in opposition to world No. 92 Hailey Baptiste.
