Kei Nishikori has not been fortunate in current seasons, having needed to cope with too many bodily issues. Issues which have by no means questioned his love for tennis. The aim is to search out continuity and categorical the extent that took him as much as the 4th place within the ATP world rating in 2015.

The Japanese participant want to face the 2 greatest younger gamers on Tour: Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. The Italian and the Spaniard have shared the 4 Grand Slam tournaments in 2024, interrupting the domination of the Large 3. The Italian received on the Australian Open and the US Open, whereas the Spanish champion triumphed on the French Open and Wimbledon Championships.

“There are young players like Sinner and Alcaraz that I have never faced. I would like to challenge them in 2025. It is something that motivates me to be able to play against these young talents. My 2024 ended quite well. Winning a Challenger at the end of the year gave me confidence.

I need even more confidence to win more matches at the highest level. I want to enjoy every match, I feel good again. Playing against top 50 players will not be easy, but I have the same passion as always and I train a lot,” he defined.

“I still have the same passion that I had 10 years ago. I still love tennis, I still love competing. Physically I feel good, finally I would say. I also feel more confident about my tennis. I hope to get into the top 50, maybe even the top 20 or 10 in a few years,” the Japanese added to the official ATP web site.

We recall Sinner is grappling with the Clostebol doping scandal. After the acquittal by the unbiased tribunal ITIA, the World Anti-Doping Company WADA appealed the sentence to the CAS, asking for 1-2 years of disqualification: between the top of February and the start of March there needs to be a definitive sentence on the destiny of the younger Italian.
