Alcaraz is working to organize for the Australian Open, as his coach underlined, who analyzed: “It’s going well. Carlos arrived with great enthusiasm, the performances in the USA stimulated him a bit to get here. We did physical work, then on the court with increasingly intense training. We are trying to change something in the serve, so that it has a bit more rhythm, that it is more fluid and relaxed. We are also working on the shots because in certain situations he needs to be more of a killer.”

Ferrero then talked about his younger participant’s 2024, explaining: “The year you win a Slam is always a great year, Ferrero said, if you’ve won two… it’s magnificent, impressive. Winning a Masters 1000 like Indian Wells or an ATP 500 like Beijing strengthens the season even more, but obviously then there’s the other animal – the reference is to Jannik Sinner – who has won everything he’s won.

Things can always be improved. Carlos is very aware of the things he has to improve, I see him becoming more mature every day when it comes to being a professional and doing things with his head. I like how he’s approaching Australia, I see him very focused on the things he wants to improve or on the things that haven’t gone so well this year. He knows he has to improve on the ups and downs during a match because it’s a mental thing and not a tennis thing.

We’re looking for a player who is a 10 in practically everything. You have to enhance your skills and improve your defects. Obviously, those ups and downs that he suffers on the court are one of his flaws, but a lot of times it has to do with how fresh you are or how motivated you are, that’s why we want to make sure that he comes motivated to every tournament, that he plays his best tennis every week,” he stated.
