Iga Swiatek has the best potential opinion about Aryna Sabalenka because the five-time Grand Slam champion thinks their rivalry was precisely what the WTA wanted. 

Since Ashleigh Barty’s beautiful retirement from tennis, the Pole and the Belarusian have loved essentially the most success on the Tour and their rivalry is thought to be the perfect within the recreation.

“What do I think about Aryna? That’s a tough one (laughs). I’ll be diplomatic. No, I’m kidding,” the Pole mentioned.

“It’s nice to have such a great athlete as an opponent. We’re both pushing each other and we’re both creating some great entertainment sometimes when we’re playing against each other.

“I feel we’re one thing WTA has been sort of lacking for some time as a result of we have now this nice rivalry, and the followers are excited each time they see each of us,

“I think it’s great that we play tennis so well and just push each other, and that’s really helpful, for sure, in anybody’s career to have an opponent like that.”

This week, each Swiatek and Sabalenka are competing on the WTA 1000 event in Doha.

Since they’re the 2 top-seeded gamers, they can not meet earlier than the ultimate.

Prior to now, they met in Doha as soon as and Swiatek gained their 2022 quarterfinal match with a 6-2 6-3 scoreline.
