Monica Puig, Puerto Rico’s first-ever Olympic gold medalist, is about to embark on an thrilling new chapter—motherhood! The previous tennis star introduced on Instagram that she and her husband, Nathan Rakitt, predict their first little one. In a heartwarming photograph, the couple gazes lovingly into one another’s eyes whereas proudly displaying the being pregnant ultrasound.

The 31-year-old Puig revealed within the caption that their child lady is due in the summertime of 2025. “So excited to jump into our most exciting adventure yet! Baby girl Rakitt coming Summer 2025,” the previous WTA participant wrote, sharing her pleasure with followers.

Puig and Rakitt’s story started almost 20 years in the past, once they first met at a tennis camp in Atlanta. After reconnecting 13 years later, they’ve been inseparable ever since. The couple acquired engaged in October 2021 and tied the knot in November 2022 in an exquisite ceremony in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Puig, who famously captured gold in singles on the 2016 Rio Olympics, retired from skilled tennis in 2022. Nonetheless, she has remained concerned in sports activities. Along with working as a tennis tv analyst, she has taken on new athletic challenges, working marathons, competing in triathlons, and taking part in in Legends occasions at Grand Slams.
