Caroline Wozniacki has confirmed that she isn’t completed with professional tennis because the Dane clarified that she skipped the Australian Open as a result of she wasn’t feeling effectively sufficient to have the ability to compete as a result of rheumatoid arthritis. 

In early January, tennis followers observed that the 2018 Australian Open champion’s title was crossed from the event’s official entry listing.

“My physique was not feeling nice. Once I began pre-season coaching I used to be scuffling with my physique somewhat bit,” the 34-year-old said.

“I have rheumatoid arthritis so it’s been an ongoing battle but I am hoping with a little break I will be back again soon.”

Wozniacki hasn’t played since the US Open 

After stunningly returning to tennis in the summer of 2023, the Dane started her 2024 season in time and went 16-14 before calling it a season following her US Open round-of-16 loss to Beatriz Haddad Maia. 

“I truthfully do not know what my plans are after the Open proper now. My preliminary thought is I am most likely not going to play after, however I do not know. I haven’t got a remaining say,” the former world No. 1 said at Flushing Meadows.

“Once more, wherever I journey, I’ll go along with the youngsters, and I additionally should see what’s greatest for the household and myself.”
